Training your pet to do a few simple tricks before their appointments can help them feel more comfortable during their visit. 

Below is a video of Bella learning her body parts. By teaching your pet to offer certain body parts like their mouth, nose, chin, paws, and belly can help them participate in their care and turn their vet visit into a fun game. 
 
 
In this video, Bella has learned to offer her belly. Now, Bella can voluntarily position herself for our exams (and X-rays) which eliminates our need to restrain her. She gets treats for being a good girl and now she feels like our clinic is a fun place to play! 

This is a perfect example of cooperative veterinary care.
